term 1
YAY. i have survived the torture and toil of term ONE. week 8. i am not counting electives and the other projects that i need to finish before week 10.
all i can say for this term is that i never have a break from studies. in fact, my life seems to revolve around homework. i did not even have time to go out for a while on a sunday. and speaking of sundays, i practically sacrificed every sunday for work and totally neglected my life aside studies. with ALL the things that we need to do, i had emotional breakdowns for about three times and that is just plain sucky. now why is school so damned stressful? because i think that teachers are insensitive, non-carbon based, liverless, cold-blooded creatures that do not give a flying fart in space about how students actually feel and totally forgot that students are human unlike them. as a result, everyone in class went absolutely crazy (well, maybe i should say MOST of us); emotions running high, stress level simmering just below breaking point etcetc. basically, the leash that i have kept on my fury and stress is starting to fray or at least half frayed. naturally, when a few of us raised the issue of overload of work, they came up with cliche excuses. like commenting on individual subjects instead of looking at the whole picture, challenging us with deadlines, usual comments to cancel an assignment that will actually help. and basically not understanding what students are going through. all they care of is that in individual subjects, the workload is reasonable and therefore they conclude that the overall workload is reasonable. this really shows the narrowmindedness of them. they just look at a micro part of the workload and totally disregarded the whole picture. think of it this way. for example, Maths has a project to be handed in in a week's time. however, students will also have to complete (for examle) a maths worksheet, chem worksheet and physics worksheet and LA articles before the end of the week. now think of how much time we actually have for doing the maths project. in every week, there will definitely be at least a few projects that are due soon and other homework. even if the teachers "push" the deadline by one or two days, it will collide with yet another project or assignment. seriosuly, there is only 24 hours in a day. we spend TEN to TWELVE hours in the madhouse called school and an hour for dinner and another 6 to 8 hours on school work. that leaves us with just about for now, 4 to 6 hours of sleep and rest. well, usually we only get 4 hours of sleep. may i ask if that is enough for students? with long school hours, high homework levels, do teachers raelly think that we have anytime for absorbing any of the knowledge at all? for gods sake we barely have time to eat and sleep! to hell with revising! and with less sleep, we go to school with cranky attitudes and tired and worn out eyes and brains and bodies. how can we even concentrate on our work? how can we even continue to learn? stress is indeed a must in a life but like all other things in the world, too much of stress can cause SERIOUSLY troubles and problems regarding our health be it mental or physical. speaking of health we cant even afford to get sick for a day as the speed is so high that missing one day of lessons can take you god knows how long to catch up. why cant they just feel for the students? imagine doing homework nonstop and having no time to even destress and go out for dinner. all day long we are locked up in our rooms racking our brains for homework. in a few of the sundays, i even worked for the entire day! pausing only for meals and spent my whole day doing up the projects from 10 AM to 2 AM. that is more than half the day. what the hell do the teachers think they are doing? are they really trying to KILL us? does the government think that students are gods; indestructable and invincible??? well i can tell you that students are very much HUMAN unlike them. the way they are forcing things down our throats...totally inhuman. oh i din mention that this term has no tests. well, that is because MOST of the tests are in TERM 2 WEEK 1 and i am sure that we also have tests at the end of term 2. i really cannot imagine what will become of me in term 2 plus tests when i am already half dead in term 1 without tests. URGH!!!!!!!!!! BURN IN THE ETERNAL FIRES OF HELL YOU PATHETIC MOLLUSCS!!!!!
ok enough of school. let me tell you about today. well, after my acne condition is gettign worse everyday (thanks to late nights and mountains of stress), i finally went to the doctors to do something about my condition. so i woke up rather early and went to the polyclinic. somehow i got presuaded by my mom to take a ABO blood test. so after i got the medicine that will hopefully improve my condition, i went to lab 10 to take the test. i thought it was like the pinprick sorta test but NO...they had the suck-out-a-large-tube-of-blood test. so fine. i wasnt exactly happy then. it really hurt when that uncle inserted the needle into the elbow part of the arm. and then...he inserted the suction tube; which secured with a vigorous CLICK that shakes the whole needle which incidentally, in inserted into my arm. imagine the pain. the BIG PROBLEM is that my blood did not flow into the tube like it supposed to. all it did was go up and down the tip of the needle like the milk tea that amanda drinks with five straws. so that man CHANGED the suction tube THRICE. each time closing with a SNAP. and by the end of the fourth failure, my senses are beginning to work again and i started to feel the sharp sharp pain of the metallic needle currectly stuck in my arm. so i told that bastard to remove that needle from my arm and stop the bleeding NOW. against his protest to stick that god-damned needle into my RIGHT arm. and unlike any other injections, this one hurts after he pasted the plaster. so after he refunded me, i went to take my medicine and paid and went home where i bathe and slept untill tuition time. URGH. what kinda shitty clinic is that man...cant even get a blood sample out and all they did was poke a whole in my arm that hurts. stupid Singhealth. ur acne pills better work or i will lodge a darned complaint and make sure that some trouble is caused.
but besides that, tuition was quite fun... mr lim made me do sums as usual..those excruciatingly tricky sums... that needs to be scrutinised if not i get EVEN more. but it is quite fun to go crazy in a aircon room. so...i think i shall just forget about school and i shall just haf as much fun as i can WHILE i can.
