by the way, before i begin, all of the following are my own private and personal opinion and if you disagree with what i say, fine. i carn stop you. so i shall NOT be held liable to any sorta negative emotions or whatever emotional damage or anything along that line if people choose to read it and feel offended.

i think many people should be wondering, why is it that the government wants to increase its tax revenue. what exactly are they going to do with the money? when PM Lee addressed the issue, he said that the money "will be used to do things that [the government] wants to do." now isnt that a tad ambiguous? what exactly are "the things they want to do" we have absolutely no idea. but i suppose i heard from somewhere that the money will be used in the development of the IRs. well...is that just speculation or is something uttered by some government official in some interview? because i am very very very sure that the money will be used in many many other things. and i have found yet another place where they spend the taxpayers' money.

did anyone realize that there in an increase in publicity for the SAF??? posters lining whole stretches of bus stops, advertisements on trains, the most expensive one, advertisements on television and not to mention, LEAFLETS WHERE THEY MAIL TO YOUR HOUSE. today, febuary 26th, i have officially received the FIFTH advertising leaflet for the SAF since the beginning of the year. yah. your eyes are not deceiving you. its FIVE, 5, freaking leaflets. and i MUST say that all these leaflets and stuff that they have been sending me so far are elaborately decorated, printed on good quality materials, not some flimsy paper. the designs are really rather...well...elaborate, for lack of better word. (my vocab is limited unfortunately) for example, today's mail is in the form of some thin little booklet. around the size and shape of some ticket booklet you noe, like for charities then have all this rectangular tickets sorta thing..yah. its liddat. and it is WAY better decorated. they printed this stainless steel texture print on it and had those "hightech" lines that makes it look so technologically advanced and sophisticated. and oh yes, there is hardly a spot of white. it is totally printed in full colour. oh yes...and there are a few "namecards" inside it as well. all personalised and what shit. oh yes..it says, "3rd generation leader" goodness...that makes me sound so freaking old...just because those ppl at the bureacracy used up more than half of their lives doesnt mean that they can make everyone sound as old as them...wads this...inferiority issues ar...bloody hell. so there are like 6 pieces of paper, twelve pages in total, and they are all printed with stuff introducing whatever shit scholarships that they have which by the way, does NOT tempt me AT ALL. esp with the LOUSY terms and that freaking BOND...work for SAF??? DEFINITELY NOT IF I CAN HELP IT. well, i have to congradulate them...they FINALLY found out that i am not a sec school drop out. does it really take 2 months to check my education status??? i tot the government was well linked?!?!? apparently there is MUCH room for improvement. so basically, i have to tell you all what the past FOUR mail were about. it is, mainly asking me to work for the navy or the air force. as a job. and let me see what i can remember from the most ridiculous one...there was this job opening for the ship's chef. "WOW!!! sounds SO FREAKING interesting doesnt it..." *rolls eyes, tone dripping with sarcasm* and what the hell is the pay, i think its about a grand or a couple of grand. with erm...allowance?? which is probably abysmal and totally insignificant. and i remember something about the ship being some sorta "fun work place"????? PUH LEASE. u trying to kid who??? a foetus who isnt even born yet? or isit a zygote that just started to multiply into a group of cells?

and the other stuff mentions things like as if i am some poly student or some sec 4 drop out who is completely desperate for money and is devoid of brains. is it really that difficult to check out my MOE records??? i mean, it would be OBVIOUS that i am in the IP programme and that would mean that i would only end my tertiary education in another 2 years. and being in the IP programme itself should mean that i am not some brainless loser who is so stupid he cant even count to ten or tell the difference between a chair and a table. i mean, shouldnt you be checkjing everythign out properly before sending them useless mail which i either crush into a ball, tear into quaters, shred, BURN, or shred AND burn and all these will eventually lead to the furnace right? its a waste of resources isnt it. and i vaguely remember something about environmental conservation which the government was promoting..is there? coz if they are, they are DEFINITELY NOT setting a good example. COMPLETE waste of paper and ink and labour. isnt singapore already devoid of natural resources??? why isit that they still wanna waste SO MUCH money buying all these nonsense when they can do without it. i mean, how do they expect their citizens to "go green" when the government itself is wasting resources and indirectly causing more pollution? how can these leaders expect the people to follow their lead if they appear to be hypocritical figures who refuse to practice what they preach? so much for the organisation in the bureacracy isnt it...
