the fountain.cinderella3

i am super super satisfied today...after months of suffering from movie withdrawal symtoms, i finally watched TWO movies. one i watch yesterday with one of my best friends ian and the other i watched at home during dinner just now. let me give a brief description of the 2 movies i watched:
  1. The Fountain: i must say that i kinda like this show. even though it is a sorta artsy show where the aim of the director is to severely confuse you and then make you THINK that you know what they are actually toking about only nearing the end. but i do think that it is very very very interesting. i mean, all of them are like looking for a way to cheat death but eventually, 2 of them accepted death and the one who found the supposed way to immortality got killed by it. and the confusing thing about this thing is...there is absolutely no chronological order at all. it just juggles between 3 times and places. each seperated by about 500 years. and all three key characters played by the same ppl of course are looking for some way to live forever. the ancient one searches for the tree of life in spain, literally. the present day one is doing a scientific research on cancer cures and stumbles across the incredible effects of some compound from some guatemalan tree i think they found in central america and the futuristic one is the most incomprehensible one where the guy and his tree travels in some absolutely ridiculous "spacecraft" towards a dying star with the hope to revive the withering tree and attaining immortality himself. the theme of love is another common factor. and i can tell that i am totally not making any sense and also there are loads more to tell of the plot but i shant say any more. but the show IS nice. to me. and the visual effects are stunning. including the scenery and what not. oh yes. and to me, the entire meaning is really cool too. something along the lines of death and some relation with creation. ah wadeva...check the internet if you wanna know more. but beware of spoilers.
  2. Cinderella 3, A Twist in Time: another movie that i watched. now...i am sure that there are loads of people who think that disney's sequels are not really up to standard. and i have to agree that there are some which really isnt good. like pocahontas 2 for example. but there are a few successes as well. lion king sequels fared well enough and i have to say that this sequel of cinderella is really not that bad at all. it is sorta like the actual sequel to the original cinderella instead of cinderella 2, which by the way, sucked according to critics. for one, the animation is about the most similar to the 2D age amongst the sequels. no lame pathetic attempt to make it look 3D. i have to say that whilst i am a total sucker for disney, their 3D movies are really not that good compared to their 2D ones. my sis shares the same sentiments. anyway, the songs are rather nice and the plot is very interesting. but the whole touching of the hand thing is kinda lame. SORRY but yes. i believe that there are better ways to portraying the whole true love thing. nevertheless, it is not that bad at all. i liked it..at least...but then again, i like almost all of disney's movies (and shows, and songs and actresses and voice talents and musicians and believe me...the list could go on for a really long time so i must stop myself now.) so you would haf to watch it to see for urself. *and that is a stupid trick to trick people into watching it..HAHAHA (;"')*
