anyways, kengsheng was a right JOKE. i mean... AACR symposium is a REALLY huge deal. suge large scale events have DRESS CODES. which is smart casual. and he shows up in... bermudas and SLIPPERS. hahaha.. it was incredibly hilarious. ok. after lunch at subway... allister and i went walking arnd the shops for a while before going home to change for the dinner.

fabian was in the east area for tuition, so i went to accompany him while he ate dinner.. haha.. at siglap. and THEN i realize i forgot my tag. and i had to go back home to get it before leaving for the dinner. and yes. we sat down and a few VJ people were with us as well. toked a lil with them... and yah... there is this power socket THINGY underneath the carpet which kept popping and it freaked the girl right next to it and all the security guards there out. so they got the technician in and we had to move table. ahhaha... apparently its not a bomb.. LOL. but it sure got all the people there worried. i mean... majority american top brains in a concentrated area. perfect for bombing huh... ahha. that was mrs lam's theory. haha... mrs lam and ms yee are nice people.. chatted all throughout dinner.. lol. i had some fun trying out all their diff types of bread.. haha.. breadstick.. wafer-ish things. wholemeal.. herbs.. etcetc. haha.. until my butter ran out. and yeah... its quite a nice meal. i shouldve chosen fish instead of chicken though. it looks BETTER. HHAA. but no matter. its nice anyway. i think i took a picture of the menu with my phone!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... shall upload it another time. i'm LAZY. lol.

so after dinner... its already REALLY REALLY late.. oh YEAH. there were speeches before the dinner started. the moment the person from i dunno where who was in the SAF came up... i was turned off. coz.. all the speakers before him spoke in fluent english with that american accent. so he is a lil... i'm being nice. i mean.. VERY horrible. its a horrible speech. bored me to death. i escaped to the toilet. and when i returned, he is STILL not finished. bleagh. one STUPID thing he said though... he was talking about how this guy was given a large sum of money to talk about the biomedical industry 100 years from now. and a guy before him is supposed to talk about the industry 100 years before. but the latter couldnt make it. so he said he'll do 100 years past and future for twice the money. hha.. but thats ex. so. he ended up talking 50 years past and 50 years future. now.. how is this relevant. to put it in his words... "since i'm only getting a free dinner, i shall talk only about here and now. no past, no present and no future." [insignificant dribbles of polite laughter follows] aint that funny. the last time i checked... "present" = "here and now"?

ok. back to after the dinner. it was past 10. so i went home. haha. slept on the bus. surprisingly.. given that i drank COKE and TEA. and almost missed my stop.. haha. but thank god i didn't. and yeap. thats my day.. HAHAHA.... hmm... quite a cool day i suppose. ;)
