do you catch a breath?

current song plugged into my ears - Crush by David Archuleta. courtesy of S! and oh yeah.. look at the time! 6.25am! no. i did NOT just wake up. I.... DID NOT... GO TO .... SLEEP! and NO... i have NOT been studying. no. i. have. not. instead, i am busy listening to songs... and... letting my brain wander free...

anyways, i have a thought about technology. a lot seems to hinge on this creation of mankind isnt it... whole economies, whole COUNTRIES... can you imagine what the world will be like if all the things that technology advancement has brought about is suddenly taken away from the world? no TV, no CDs, no Radio, no Computer... then we go on to more serious stuff like no refridgerator to keep our food fresh. no water heater... damn.. no LIGHTS.... no cars. no buses. no electricity. no power. no gas to cook our food in. well... if you say technology is all bad... then try living without ALL of these. oh... and for me as a person... the worse thing that u can take away from me right now.... is... the Internet. wow. EVERYTHING is on the internet. if you have the means... u can basically live ur life in front of the computer. IM. online shopping. entertainment. education. all of that is just a click away.

technology closes distances. there is no doubt about that. communication and connectivity in the world today is unparalleled and it is getting better every single day. i for one... am highly dependent on this particular favour that technology does for Man. so much so that it controls my mood. no. not technology. but what technology does is vital. i remember there was once... in a particularly adrupt moment... my Internet connection went down for a few minutes... that wrecked a hell of a havoc within me. why? not telling. let's just say i had to settle a lot of things in a space of a few minutes lost. but still, i consider technology as a blessing.

because if it wasnt for technology, i wouldnt have a very very important thing that i have right now. it's kinda ironic actually. people are always associating technology and it's role is communication as... lacking the human touch. a little too... mechanical. and from what i learnt from reading "The Machine Stops", it is devoid of any nuances of human emotion. but technology has granted me the most human thing u can possibly imagine. it is... to me... choke full with expressions and feelings. it all depends on the words these feelings are translated into. the power of language... canNOT be underestimated. if you ask me. the ONLY thing lacking.. will be that physical touch. literally skin to skin contact. dont get me wrong... i'm not saying technology is flawless except for that one flaw because it is a pretty damn ass big flaw to have. and trust me... i absolutely RESENT that fact sometimes. makes me feel... even more isolated and alone and not being able to do anything about it. which is why it's so super important that i work hard to get what i want. the months leading to november sure are going to be pretty damn intense...

it's kinda tough. but for what it gives in return, it's just ... worth it.

closing my eyes, i see all that this can be.
