voicemail.

today's what i would call a "resting day" for me. lol. i woke up LATE late late at around... 3.30. hahahahahaha. went to wash my hair before going down for.. brunch. teatime prices are frigging CHEAP! lol. i'm beyond bloated.

i spent the whole day lazing around on my bed enjoying the perpetual natural air conditioning. i lloooovvveee the cold weather. it's soo very very very comfy curling up into a ball under my covers. i wonder if there it's possible to feel even MORE comfy than that................. ha - i think the answer is obvious.

since i rested enough and had time to spare, i decided to make a few long distance calls. called my bestie for a while to see how he's doing. hope you recover fully and feel loads better soon fabian! :) on the bright side, you get to miss army! that is DEFINITELY a good thing! haha.

i think it's rather exciting and slightly mortifying to make a long distance call. half hoping the person on the other end of the line will pick up, the other half hoping that they will not. why? cuz it's freaking EXPENSIVE. being stupid, terence called without checking out the IDD charges. i swear, i will NEVER use IDD 001 ever again. ever heard of paying 6.9HKD for a minute's call to singapore? after checking out the prices online, i find it absolutely weird that it costs so much to call to singapore which is a lot closer to other countries where it costs 6.8HKD per minute. how peculiar...

so while i was checking out the prices... i discovered a NEW IDD service. IDD 1718 which costs A HELL OF A LOT LESS! LIKE.. WTF.it only costs 0.98HKD per minute for off peak which is almost SIX times less than IDD 001 and 3.28HKD for peak hours . and the FREAKING weird thing is... it costs even LESS for other countries on the OPPOSITE side of the world... i mean.. 1.28HKD and 0.33HKD per minute for peak and off peak hours? telephone services are weird. i'm so not going to attempt to understand what on earth they are thinking. but then again, who's complaining? DEFINITELY not me. in fact, i'm elated.

but whatever the cost, i guess i'll still wait with batted breath as the phone rings... once. twice. thrice. four times. five times. before it zips off to voicemail. my heart beats nervously as i listen to 7 seconds of the most expensive voicemail recording. but before the beep sounds, i hang up. sounds like an adventure doesn't it? feeling excited and nervous at the same time. i don't know... it just makes me feel particularly bubbly and cheery. hmm. i wonder why i do such strange things sometimes.

i wonder... what will my voicemail recording be like if i had one? i guess it'll go something like... "hi, you've reached terence's cellphone. i'm unable to reach my phone, so if you would leave your name and your number, i'll make sure i'll get back to you as soon as possible. have a good day. bye." BEEP. haha. decent enough for my first voicemail recording?

but then again, who needs voicemail in this age of technological advancement?

- words, words, words; storybook endings.
