called in sick today. i have to say that there are definitely good things that came out of the SARS pandemic. such swift action is taken by the authorities to reduce the potential effects of the swine flu virus. i think this was the first time that i've experienced such efficiency in the polyclinic. which is a good thing cuz i was kinda feeling like hell... being sick and all. dont worry though. i can tell you that i am not infected by the H1N1 virus. then again... why would u be worried? disappointed would be a more fitting word. right? dont answer that.
anyway, i spent the day at home resting and trying to feel better. somehow i managed to sleep the whole afternoon away. so if office called.. they will prob be thinking i'm awol or sumthing but who cares. i need my rest. it's quite... a luxury to be able to sleep as long as i want. though of course sleeping after the lunch i had was just so fattening. kinda feel.... nevermind. it was a pretty good day to sleep, considering that it just rained heavily. so the weather has cooled down to a more comfortable temperature. i think that sometimes i take for granted the value of a good night's rest. but then again, maybe there was just something more worthy of my precious limited amount of time at home. something i say... what a lie.
anyway, for some reason i decided to listen to a whole bunch of instrumental pieces of music. started with some debussy... but that classical streak quickly ended... and i ended up listening to the orchestral tracks from movie soundtracks. i admit. quite culture-less. but it's still nice... i find some of them rather... inspiring. like august's rhapsody... or... the twilight song... right now i'm listening to pirates of the carribean-at world's end. well... knowing terence. somehow or other it will always lead back to something that's so so totally Disney. typical typical. :P! regardless of my slight obsession or.. some say insanity, i think i find the melodies really... calming in a way. i guess music really is an extremely powerful tool at invoking emotions. Almost as powerful as words... Words on a computer screen.
urgh, trust my sister to spoil the moment.
- all i went through, led me to you.
