i cant believe i forgot to blog about all the things that happened last weekend. well... the main thing that i wanna say is.... i spent a hell of a lot of money. LOL! i was calculating how much i spent and i realized that it adds up to less than 100 bucks. which was surprising to me because i thought i spent way more than 100 bucks already. thank goodness i didnt... it was a pleasant surprise i would say... haha

anyway, although i did not get to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince with ALL of my besties like i wanted..... because i had tuition on saturday till afternoon and dear ian was his usual busy self with plenty of events he has to attend... so our timings all clashed and i couldnt make it when he asked xianjun and i to watch with him... i was upset about it for the entire week.... BUT... the good thing is... it forced me to go and queue up on thursday to get tickets for the sunday show which i dragged vernon to go with me. i would have dragged xuehu along too but he was stuck in camp doing shitty jobs

ANYWAY, i wanna talk about the movie which i was rather excited to watch. it's like.. a MUST watch movie although it's kinda expected that it will pale in comparison to the book. so basically i didnt have VERY high expectations. maybe that's why the movie wasnt THAT disappointing compared to the goblet of fire or sumthing. BUT....... oh my god emma watson aka hermione granger is just getting hotter and hotter with each freaking movie! look at the pic below!and guess what! she's going to BROWN UNIVERSITY! oh my goodness that place is just getting more and more and more attractive (quite literally) by the moment! i really really really really really X infinity wish that i can get in.. PLEASE God... Please give me the courage and wisdom to get through the application process and get selected out of the possible thousands of applicants.

i think that dumbledore is freaking amazing. i simply love the spells and the powerful magic that he is capable of invoking. like the amazing fire that he conjured even when he's half dying. it's one of my favourite scenes... check out the hot ass picture below.

oh yeah. i think that david yates did a pretty decent job considering the phenomenal success of the book. ALTHOUGH, my sister pointed out rather accurately that he shifted the focus away from the mystery of the HALF BLOOD PRINCE to the dumbledore plot. but i suppose.. it's the dumbledore plot which is more vital for the next movie... even if one of the key elements which made HBP an interesting read is wondering who the HBP is... voldemort or whoever... nevertheless, david yates managed to add some rather artsy overtones to the whole thing... mixed with that rather hilarious scene when harry took the felix felicis and of course... the budding romances. hermione is just so damn effing attractive... and an amazingly clever witch... i love the part where she got so pissed at ron for kissing that desperate loser lavender brown she stood up and set the birds on him... so hot. and it was a nice scene too... harry's response was nicely done.

but the most retarded thing was that i actually teared up when dumbledore died and the whole wide world crowded around his body at the bottom of the astronomy tower. it was a very nicely done emotional scene when mcgonagall led everyone to raise their lit wandtips in unison.... and the stupid dark mark dissipating in a swarm of light.... very simple and subtle message.

oh course i would have to condemn that stupid bellatrix who is a total psycho...... stupid woman set hagrid's house on fire and jumped up and down like some oversized girl toddler... shows how insane that bitch is.... they better not cut out the scene where molly battles and slays that stupid bitch in the 8th movie. that's my favourite scene. i simply adore catfights. so bitchy! HAHAHAHA

all in all, harry potter was a rather good movie. not stunning and amazing like the pirates of the carribbean franchise. but it's still rather ok.. cuz... pirates has very few equals... disney films excluded. :P i'm SUCH a biased source arent i. but what can i say.. disney classics Rule.
